Recently, our country has been hit with a surge of high gas prices. With no decline in prices on the horizon, people are being forced to ration their gas intake. When at all possible take public transportation or consider telecommuting. Finally, join your neighborhood car pool.

The last suggestion on how consumers can save on gas involves one to make a long-term investment. The investment to make is to trade in that old car for a newer, more fuel-efficient vehicle. Newer vehicles are generally more fuel efficient and with all the new hybrid vehicles on the market you have even more choices. There are now even hybrid trucks and SUVs. Desire to Help - A Customer Support Representative needs to have the fundamental desire to assist others. Dedicated Problem Solver - The reason you are in this position, is to listen to the problem being conveyed by the customer and offering solutions to those issues, quickly. Chances are, the company has given you the necessary training, knowledge and processes to fulfill this obligation. Your job is to execute the process based on the training and information you have. In addition, you will have a support system of supervisors and knowledge experts that you can draw from if needed.

Patience - Another important character trait that is difficult to master is patience and empathy. Having the patience to listen to the customer and work through each call is a critical factor to keep your own head when others are screaming at you over the phone. It is easy to get caught up in the emotions being forced upon you, causing premature burn out. Having the ability to be a calming influence can help relieve the stress the customer may be feeling at that time.

Communication - The art of Communication is a learned skill that customer service representatives need to become more aware of as they develop over time. It is easy to to tell a customer that you can help them because that is what they want. Telling a customer “No” is a difficult task, but can be done with respect and sincerity.

Shortly after the birth of his twins, "Dancing with the Stars" pro Tony Dovolani blogged about the birth in a message on his MySpace page, according to People.com. In it, he reveals that he was rehearsing with his new partner, Susan Lucci, when he got the call:

"The twins are here! They arrived early September 8th," he writes. "Susan shooed me out the door as soon as I got the call that it was time … I was able to be with Lina at the birth."

The babies arrived early Monday morning at a hospital near the couple’s Connecticut home. Son Adrian Driton came first, weighing 7 lbs, followed by daughter Ariana, weighing 7 lbs, 10 oz. It is the second and third child for the couple, whose daughter Luanna turned three in August.

He continues: "Both babies are doing well, as is Lina."

"Dancing with the Stars" returns for its season seven on ABC on Sept. 22.

Four people have been seriously injured in the collapse of a large canvas shade sail in Sydney’s inner west.

Emergency services workers were called to a park at the intersection of Burwood Road and Wilga Streets, Burwood about 3.25am (AEDT) on Sunday following reports the shade sail had collapsed, injuring people who had climbed on top of it.

Police say paramedics treated three males and one female at the scene before taking them to hospital.

It was possible all four had sustained spinal injuries, a police spokesman said.

It is not known which hospital they were taken to.
